There are numerous resources for many topics relating to Down syndrome. Listed below are a few key references to get you started. More extensive resources and reading lists are available from the DSAOC Resource Center and accessible from the NDSS and Woodbine House websites. In addition, several of the resources described below may be borrowed from the DSAOC Resource Center.

Books

    A comprehensive guide for new parents concerning medical, emotional, educational and social issues relating to Down syndrome.

    Explains how communication problems associated with Down syndrome affect children in school with strategies for adapting schoolwork and improving teacher-student communication.

    Guide focuses on speech and language development in children with Down syndrome.
